Visit

Much of Steveston’s allure is attributed to its historical and multicultural influences. The village is home to The Gulf of Georgia Cannery, a national historic site that operated as a salmon and herring cannery throughout the 1900’s, and The Britannia Shipyards, also a national historic site that served as a cannery and shipyard repair shop before closing its doors in 1991. Other interesting sites to visit are the Steveston Museum & Post Office and the Steveston Tram. Beyond history, Steveston is a bustling waterfront community full of charming shops, parks, and walking and cycling trails.
